Why.....

What is it?

Starting at GMT 03:14:07, Tuesday, January 19, 2038, It is expected to see lots of systems around the world breaking magnificently: satellites falling out of orbit, massive power outages (like the 2003 North American blackout), hosp ital life support system failures, phone system interruptions, banking errors, etc. One second after this critical second, many of these systems will have wildly inaccurate date settings, producing all kinds of unpredictable consequences. In short, many of the dire predictions for the year 2000 are much more likely to actually occur in the year 2038! Consider the year 2000 just a dry run. In case you think we can sit on this issue for another 30 years before addressing it, consider that reports of temporal echoes of the 2038 problem are already starting to appear in future date calculations for mortgages and vital statistics!

In the first month of the year 2038 C.E. many computers will encounter a date-related bug in their operating systems and/or in the applications they run. This can result in incorrect and wildly inaccurate dates being reported by the operating system and/or applications. The effect of this bug is hard to predict, because many applications are not prepared for the resulting "skip" in reported time anywhere from 1901 to a "broken record" repeat of the reported time at the second the bug occurs. Also, may make some small adjustment to the actual time the bug expresses itself. This bug to cause serious problems on many platforms, especially Unix and Unix-like platforms, because these systems will "run out of time".

What causes it?

Time_t is a data type used by C and C++ programs to represent dates and times internally. (Windows programmers out there might also recognize it as the basis for the CTime and CTimeSpan classes in MFC.) time_t is actually just an integer, a whole number, that counts the number of seconds since January 1, 1970 at 12:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time. A time_t value of 0 would be 12:00:00 AM (exactly midnight) 1-Jan-1970, a time_t value of 1 would be 12:00:01 AM (

one second after midnight) 1-Jan-1970, etc..

some example times and their exact time_t representations:

Date & time time_t representation
1-Jan-1970,12:00:00 AM GMT

0 1-Jan-1970, 12:01:00 AM GMT 60

1-Jan-1970, 01:00:00 AM GMT 3 600

2-Jan-1970,12:00:00 AM GMT 86 400

1-Jan-1971, 12:00:00 AM GMT 31 536 000

1-Jan-1972, 12:00:00 AM GMT 63 072 000

1-Jan-2038, 12:00:00 AM GMT 2 145 916 800

19-Jan-2038, 03:14:07 AM GMT 2 147 483 647

By the year 2038, the time_t representation for the current time will be over 2 140 000 000. And that's the problem. A modern 32-bit computer stores a "signed integer" data type, such as time_t, in 32 bits. The first of these bits is used for the positive/negative sign of the integer, while the remaining 31 bits are used to store the number itself. The highest number these 31 data bits can store works out to exactly 2 147 483 647. A time_t value of this exact number , 2 147 483 647, represents January 19, 2038, at 7 seconds past 3:14 AM Greenwich Mean Time. So, at 3:14:07 AM GMT on that fateful day, every time_t used in a 32-bit C or C++ program will reach its upper limit.

One second later, on 19-January-2038 at 3:14:08 AM GMT, disaster strikes.

When a signed integer reaches its maximum value and then gets incremented, it wraps around to its lowest possible negative value. This means a 32-bit signed integer, such as a time_t, set to its maximum value of 2 147 483 647 and then incremented by 1, will become -2 147 483 648. Note that "-" sign at the beginning of this large number. A time_t value of -2 147 483 648 would represent December 13, 1901 at 8:45:52 PM GMT.

So, if all goes normally, 19-January-2038 will suddenly become 13-December-1901 in every time_t across the globe, and every date calculation based on this figure will go haywire. And it gets worse. Most of the support functions that use the time_t data type cannot handle negative time_t values at all. They simply fail and return an error code.

A quick check with the following Perl script may help determine if your computers will have problems (this requires Perl to be installed on your system, of course):

#!/usr/bin/perl

# Use POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface) use POSIX;

# Set the Time Zone to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) for date calculations. $ENV{'TZ'} = "GMT";

# Count up in seconds of Epoch time just before and after the critical event. for ($clock = 2147483641; $clock < 2147483651; $clock++) {print ctime($clock);} For example, the output of this script on Debian GNU/Linux (kernel 2.4.22) (An affected system) will be

# ./2038.pl

Solution "The best way to predict the future is to engineer it." Consider testing your mission-critical code well ahead of time on a non-production test platform set just before the critical date. For more general applications, just using large types for storing dates will do the trick in most cases. For example, in GNU C, 64-bits (a "long " type) is sufficient to keep the time from rolling over for literally geological eons This just means any executables the operating systems runs will always get the correct time reported to them when queried in the correct manner. It doesn't stop the executables you may still want to be worried about Well-written programs can si mply be recompiled with a new version of the library that uses, for example, 8-byte values for the storage format. This is possible because the library encapsulates the whole time activity with its own time types and functions (unlike most mainframe programs, which did not standardize their date formats or calculations). So the Year 2038 problem should not be nearly as hard to fix as the Y2K problem was.

Admittedly, some don't feel that this impending disaster will strike too many people. They reason that, by the time 2038 rolls around, most programs will be running on 64-bit or even 128-bit computers. In a 64-bit program, a time_t could represent any date and time in the future out to 292 000 000 000 A.D., which is about 20 times the currently estimated age of the universe. The problem with this kind of optimism is the same root problem behind most of the Year 2000 concerns that plagued the software industry in previous years: Legacy Code. Even if every PC in the year 2038 has a 64-bit CPU, there will be a lot of older 32-bit programs running on them.

The greatest danger with the Year 2038 Problem is its invisibility. The more-famous Year 2000 is a big, round number; it only takes a few seconds of thought, even for a computer-illiterate person, to imagine what might happen when 1999 turns into 2000. But January 19, 2038 is not nearly as obvious. Software companies will probably not think of trying out a Year 2038 scenario before doomsday strikes. Of course, there will be some warning ahead of time. Scheduling software, billing programs, personal reminder calendars, and other such pieces of code that set dates in the near future will fail as soon as one of their target dates exceeds 19-Jan-2038, assuming a time_t is used to store them.

Good luck, and hope no ones flying car breaks down in 2038

Spanish banking crisis hits streets of Britain: Fresh fears for Santander's UK customers after credit rating blow

Millions of British bank customers faced added worries today after Santander became the latest giant to be hit by the eurozone crisis.
The High Street chain's credit rating was slashed as anxious consumers in Spain withdraw £1bn in recent days sparking fears of a run on the country's banks.
The move sparked fears of panic withdrawals at the UK arm of the Spanish bank similar to those last seen when Northern Rock went under in 2008.
The shock downgrade compounds fears of contagion spreading from Greece and is the first time that the crisis now engulfing the ailing eurozone has been felt directly on British shores.

The Spanish banking crisis has hit the British high street, with the news that Santander has had its credit rating cut

A string of local authorities, including Kent County Council and Westminster, have already moved their deposits from Santander to safer accounts.

Many more retail savers with large deposits are expected to do the same in the coming days as the bank could be exposed to billions of pounds in 'bad loans' to failed property ventures and other eurozone nations.
Millions of people across the country with Santander mortgages, loans, credit cards and overdrafts could also be affected by the chaos gripping the continent.
Anxious savers worried that they could lose their money took to Twitter.
One wrote: 'Oh my god. Concerned to see the Spanish Banks are in trouble. We got quite a bit of savings tied up in Santander! Do we move it? Advice needed.'
Santander UK was among the banks highlighted after the ratings agency yesterday took aim at its parent Banco Santander, based in Spain.
The downgrading of 16 other banks in Spain has sent shockwaves through the economy.
Stock markets across Europe opened lower today with the FTSE 100 index of leading UK shares down by 50 points at 5295 shortly after opening.
The German DAX had also plummeted by 0.8 per cent as was down 50 points 6270.8.
Spain's Madrid IBEX fell by two per cent before recovering.
Spain is in the eye of the storm of the eurozone debt crisis amid worries that its banks are overexposed to toxic property loans and the government, fighting recession and a nearly 25 per cent jobless rate, could not afford to bail them out if it needed to.
Prime Minister David Cameron today said that 'if things go wrong in the eurozone, that affects us'.
'It's a very difficult economic time we're in and what’s happening in the eurozone is truly worrying,' Mr Cameron told ITVs Daybreak.
'If things go badly wrong in the eurozone that affects us. If they keep kicking the can down the road we could see the situation gets a lot worse.
'Now Britain does have some advantages, because we've got our own currency, our own central bank, because we've got a strong government, a strong deficit reduction plan, our banks are strong.
'We do have those advantages but of course if things do go badly wrong in the eurozone that affects us, that's where 40 per cent of our trade goes.

'That's why yesterday as well as saying I will keep Britain safe, I was saying we've got to do more to persuade the eurozone countries to take the really decisive action to deal with the problems that they've got.'
Santander is one of the biggest players in UK retail banking, having taken over the former Abbey National, Alliance & Leicester, Bradford & Bingley and most recently the English branches of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The buy-outs caused anger among customers with regulators being flooded with complaints about the 'poor' customer service at Santander.
The new lower A2 credit rating is certain to be a cause of anxiety to Santander UK’s millions of British customers - and could be the final issue that sees them flock from the bank.

Nevertheless, they can be confident that their deposits up to £85,000 are guaranteed by the British government should there be a loss of confidence.
Although it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Madrid-based Banco-Santander, the UK offshoot is regulated by the Financial Services Authority and would have access to Bank of England emergency funds in the unlikely case that it is threatened.
Senior UK regulators noted last night that Santander UK had more share capital and a better cushion of cash than the Spanish bank and it is hermetically sealed from the problems of the Spanish banking system.
Moody’s said the 'A2' rating of Santander UK was one notch above its parent company. It also pointed out that Santander UK had 'no direct exposure to the Spanish government (or regional governments)'. It added that the FSA was 'unlikely' to allow Santander UK to weaken itself in order to support its parent.
However, a spokesman for Santander UK reassured customers that it was 'completely autonomous' from its parent firm, adding that 'money raised in the UK stays in the UK'.
Last night’s downgrades followed a hectic day on Madrid’s financial markets which saw the shares in Bankia, Spain’s fourth-largest bank, plunge by more than a quarter following reports that savers had withdrawn more than £1billion in recent days.
Its shares were temporarily suspended as investors panicked over reports of an accelerating bank run.
Deputy economic minister Fernando Jimenez Latorre was forced to deny a flight of deposits at Bankia, which was part-nationalised earlier this month.
But prominent Spanish economist Dr Pedro Schwartz said senior officials at the bank had told him savers were withdrawing ‘large deposits’.

He said £400million had been taken out of the bank on Tuesday, which was a public holiday, with a further £800million being withdrawn yesterday.
Yesterday, the Spanish government’s borrowing costs rose sharply again and are now dangerously close to the 7 per cent figure that is considered unsustainable.
Moody’s said it was acting because of ‘adverse operating conditions’ in the euro area and Spain in particular. It said the country was plagued by ‘renewed recession, the ongoing real estate crisis and persistent high levels of unemployment’.
The downgrade is certain to cause new tensions across the world’s financial markets when then re-open today.
The warnings came after a fourth grim day on European stock markets, with the FTSE 100 index of leading UK shares down by  67 points.
Meanwhile, there were warnings that all eurozone countries could be downgraded – and face higher borrowing costs – if Greek voters elect an anti-austerity government in fresh elections next month.
Ratings agency Fitch downgraded  debt-crippled Greece deeper into junk territory, warning it could be close to a ‘widespread default’ on both government and private-sector loans, and leaving the euro.
Bank officials have revealed withdrawals from Greek banks are running at £650million a day in the wake of this month’s inconclusive elections.
Greek president Karolos Papoulias has warned of the risk of ‘panic’ if the situation escalates.
The National Bank of Greece was forced to deny reports yesterday that it was planning to limit cashpoint withdrawals to just £40 a day.
Analyst Capital Economics warned: ‘Concerns are growing that bank runs could soon become a regular feature in other troubled countries in the region deemed at risk of following Greece’s lead.’

Malaysia faces credit ratings cut

MALAYSIA: Concerns have been raised about Malaysia's high national debt, which currently stands at 54 per cent of its gross domestic product (GDP).

International ratings agencies Standard & Poor's and Moody's are warning of a possible credit rating downgrade if Kuala Lumpur does not rein in its federal government debt.

Continuous government spending to gain public support ahead of the upcoming general election may have put Malaysia at risk of a credit downgrade.

A rating cut would be its first in 15 years.

However, Malaysia's central bank has brushed aside that concern.

It said the national debt level at 54 per cent of GDP is manageable, given Malaysia's sound economic fundamentals, improved foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows, and growth of a forecast four to five per cent this year.

Bank Negara also noted more than 90 per cent of the debt is domestically funded, which means Malaysia's external exposure is very minimal.

Bank Negara Malaysia governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz said: "The government external indebtedness is only two per cent so it's very low.

"Very often, countries have problems because foreign borrowing is very high. For us, the borrowing in mainly domestic, our financial system has been able to absorb this."

Still, there are concerns the government's spending spree ahead of a general election may drive federal government debt level to above 60 per cent.

Observers said the next cabinet voted into power must seriously take concrete steps to reduce its huge subsidy bill exceeding US$10 billion as well as to introduce a hugely unpopular goods and services tax to shore up the government's revenue.

While a credit rating downgrade will hurt investor confidence, a weak mandate at the polls means the government will find it difficult to push through some of its tough structural reforms.

Malaysia must call its next election before May next year.

Ron Paul Is Hosting A Hearing On Ending The Federal Reserve Right Now

Texas Congressman Ron Paul will once again face off against his central bank nemesis this morning, during a Congressional hearing on monetary policy and the Federal Reserve.
The hyped-up hearing is titled "The Federal Reserve System: Mend It Or End It?," and will be hosted by the House Finance Committee's Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology Subcommittee, which oversees the Federal Reserve and which, incidentally, is chaired by Ron Paul.
The hearing will feature testimony from several economists and lawmakers, all of whom have some problem with the central bank. No one who works for the Fed is scheduled to testify.
The subcommittee will also consider several bills, including Paul's Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act, which would abolish the Federal Reserve, its Board of Governors, and eliminate the Federal Reserve Act.
“More and more people are beginning to understand just how destructive the Federal Reserve's monetary policy has been,” Paul said in a press release. “I hope that this hearing will kickstart a serious discussion on the need to rein in the Fed."
Other witnesses include Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), the outgoing ranking member of the House Finance Committee who is also an outspoken critic of the Fed, and Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX), who has introduced legislation to eliminate the Fed's dual mandate of promoting maximum employment and price stability.
The second panel features five economists. Here's the list, per Paul's press release:
  • Dr. Jeffrey M. Herbener, Chairman, Economics Department, Grove City College
  • Dr. Peter G. Klein, Associate Professor, Applied Social Sciences and Director, McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, University of Missouri
  • Dr. John B. Taylor, Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics, Stanford University and George P. Schultz Senior Fellow in Economics, Hoover Institution
  • Dr. Alice Rivlin, Senior Fellow, Economic Studies, Brookings Institution, and former Vice Chair, Federal Reserve Board of Governors
  • Dr. James K. Galbraith, Lloyd M. Bentsen, Jr. Chair in Government/Business Relations, LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin
The hearing starts shortly, so check back with Business Insider for updates.

LATEST CANCER INFORMATION

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

[Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins ]

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple.

What cancer cells feed on:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Globalist Sedition takes to Malaysian Streets

Corporate-owned media obfuscates protest's overt ties to Washington.
by Tony Cartalucci

Bangkok, Thailand July 9, 2011 - Calling themselves "Bersih, or the "Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections," the so-called civic group has attempted to rally in the streets of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, only to meet a wall of resistance from a government more than aware of their true intentions. According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Ambiga Sreenevasan, the head of the Bersih group said, "we are fighting for free and fair elections." Undoubtedly Bersih's rank and file believe this to be true, but the Malaysian government insists that Bersih is a front group for Malaysia's opposition parties led by dedicated globalist Anwar Ibrahim.

Photo: Foreign-funded mobs are now turning up in the streets of Southeast Asia. Here, "Bersih 2.0" mobs clog the streets of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. If the US-engineered "Arab Spring" was meant to leverage China's dependency on foreign oil against it, this latest move to destabilize nations is meant to reassert Washington's influence throughout China's own backyard.
....

Confirming the Malaysian government's statement, at least 5 members of the opposition front "Pakatan Rakyat" were arrested while participating in the rally, along with Bersih leader Ambiga Sreeneyasan. Also present was globalist-stooge Anwar Ibrahim himself, leading a throng of protesters before being injured supposedly by a tear gas canister. Just as the Malaysia government has insisted, this is not a spontaneous protest led by concerned citizens, rather a foreign-funded protest mobilized by political opposition groups merely duping well-intentioned citizens to join with their cause.

Anwar Ibrahim himself was Chairman of the Development Committee of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund in 1998, held lecturing positions at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University (a rock where the worst examples of humanity constantly crawl out from beneath), and a consultant to the World Bank. In 2007, Anwar was a panelist at theNeo-Con lined National Endowment for Democracy's "Democracy Award" and a panelist at a NED donation ceremony.

Photo: Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia's opposition leader amidst throngs of "Bersih" protesters. While the foreign press attempts to portray Bersih as a grassroots NGO organization, in reality it is a foreign-funded mob working in support of Anwar, who in turn is a longtime globalist-stooge.
....

It should come as no surprise then that his street-front, "Bersih," is likewise entwined with foreign money and foreign interests. The same Ambiga Sreenevasan who claimed "we are fighting for free and fair elections," also admitted on at least one occasionthat her Bersih movement received money from the United States government via the National Democratic Institute (NDI), a National Endowment for Democracy (NED) subsidiary, as well as from globalist bankster George Soros' Open Society. The NDI website had until recently posted information confirming this, but has since removed it. Only a Google cached version of the original information can be seen (as of July 9, 2011).

Photo: A screen-grab of NDI's website before taking down any mention of their funding, training, and support of globalist-stooge Anwar Ibrahim's "Bersih" street-front. (click to enlarge)
....

It should be noted that while NED, and its subsidiaries like NDI, Freedom House, and the International Republican Institute (IRI), claim to promote "democracy" internationally, their boards of directors are lined with an almost cartoonish lineup of villains, dengerate big-business interests, warmongers, and war criminals. Francis Fukuyama, Zalmay Khalilzad, Frank Carlucci (2002), Will Marshall, and Vin Weber populate the board of directors of NED, while Kenneth Adelman, Max M. Kampelman, Donald Rumsfeld (formally), Paula Dobriansky, Leonard Sussman, and Ellen Bork are on the board of trustees/executive committee of Freedom House. Additionally, certified warmongers John McCain and Lindsey Graham pollute IRI's board of directors. It is absurd to suggest men like Donald Rumsfeld, Vin Weber, Frank Carlucci, John McCain, or Kenneth Adelman have any interest in "human rights," "freedom," or "democracy" beyond what they can gain by disingenuously leveraging these noble values. In fact, these very people have been the architects and perpetrators of darkest chapters in recent human history.

John McCain's "sincerity" in democracy and the role his organization played in training and equipping Egyptian protesters to overthrow the Mubarak regime culminated in a recent trip to Cairo, where he was accompanied by Fortune 500 officers seeking to promote "private enterprise." Indeed, this is the final goal of US-funded "democratization," the complete destruction of nationalism along with the economic liberalization and strip mining of the world's various economies.

Video: Anwar Ibrahim, leader of the foreign-funded "Bersih 2.0" movement, berates the Malaysian government for reacting to his recent bout of foreign-funded sedition.
....

Of course, while all of this is documented fact, corporate-funded news outfits like the New York Times prey on the ignorance of their readers by not mentioning Malaysia's opposition front at all during their coverage of the Bersih rally. Instead, they insist it was merely a "coalition made up of 62 nongovernmental organizations" seeking "election reform." Mention of Anwar Ibrahim's presence at the rally is not mentioned, nor is the fact that other members of his opposition front were participating and leading the rally. The New York Times also dutifully cites Ford Foundation/Soros' Open Society-funded Human Rights Watch and Soros-funded (page 10) Amnesty International who have predictably "condemned the recent arrests, and called on the government to stop harassing those associated with [Soros-funded] Bersih."

A pattern of foreign-funded organizations carrying out foreign-backed sedition within a target country, in turn backed by the corporate-owned media and "independent," "international" organizations funded by the exact same money can be seen clearly in practice on Kuala Lumpur's streets. What is also interesting is that NED-funded operations outside of Malaysia have also been directed to support Bersih.

Thailand's NED-funded Prachatai propaganda outfit dutifully reported in their article, "Solidarity protest for clean and fair elections and immediate release of Bersih activists," that on July 1, "students, activists and press gathered outside the Malaysian Embassy, Bangkok, in response to the Malaysian Government’s arrest of more than a hundred members of the coalition network Bersih 2.0 consisting of various Malaysian human rights organizations campaigning for reforms in the electoral system." Joining the protest, according to the Bangkok Post, was the People's Empowerment Foundation, yet another National Endowment for Democracy-funded front group.

Washington and London funded organizations like NED, IRI, NDI, Freedom House, and others are creating a global homogeneous NGO, "civil society" underlay that is centrally funded and centrally controlled. They operate in nearly every nation on Earth and they work in tandem with their regional doppelgangers toward a singular goal. It was recently reported in the New York Timesthat these very organizations had been training and preparing for the "Arab Spring" for years before it unfolded. The feigned surprise by Western governments as their insidious plan came to fruition was merely rhetorical fodder designed for the most ignorant members of their target audiences. The "Arab Spring" is now admittedly a gambit of Western design. These organizations and the networks they form are nothing less than a modern reincarnation of the British Empire's imperial networks. These organizations are led by immensely disingenuous characters for overtly self-serving agendas.

It is not that the "free and fair" elections many Bersih members are fighting for aren't a legitimate cause. It is the fact that the leadership of Bersih are disingenuously harnessing the good intentions, energy, and resources of their naive followers to carry out foreign-funded sedition and regime change that will result in a dismal future for all Malaysians. Surely the ancestors of today's Bersih protesters didn't struggle and fight for Malaysian independence just so a foreign-backed stooge like Anwar Ibrahim could worm his way back into power, and with him bring back the same slouching degenerate bankers, merchants, and monied elite who had despoiled Malaysia and her riches for centuries.
